I have also made a simple automator application National Geographic POD available that simply downloads the latest Picture of the Day from National Geographic and sets it as the desktop wallpaper.
It can also be found on the Apple download site. Personally I have this set up as a task in iCal that it is run daily and I always get a new picture to look at. 7/Oct/2007 - National Geographic changed the way that they generate their urls again. If you want to continue using this automator you should download the new version. This file has been downloaded 31412 times. |
